What is Osteopathy?

1. The connection between the musculo-skeletal and connective tissue

The connective tissue surrounds all cells in the human body. Examination of the connective tissue can reveal restrictions that cause pain in the body. An osteopath will then treat these restricted areas in order to reduce pain and improve its natural function.

2. The range of manual techniques

Easily explained, osteopathic techniques includes mobilising, tensionrelease, joint corrections and stretching

3. During the consultation

After a thorough case history and examination, areas that require treatment will be identified. The patient may often receive treatment in different areas than where the pain is felt.
